EU climate law: a 2040 emissions reduction target of 90% for the EU
Following a vote by Parliament, the EU will have to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% in 2040 compared with 1990 levels, to achieve a climate neutral EU by 2050. (Source: European Parliament)
